The ‘X’ refers to our connection of shoulders to pelvis,

essential to the cross-body movements of dance, and

especially tango. Freedom and mobility in the chest and

pelvis is essential for dance. Easy movement in the chest

involves freedom in the pelvis as well as shoulders, ribs and spine.

The spine's design is wavy and curvy—perfect for bending, twisting and

counterbalancing—yet we often feel strain and limitation in these movements.

In The Dance of the Spine we will experience the dynamic curves of the spine

through experiential anatomy, hatha yoga, and the Feldenkrais Method®.

Enjoy new freedom in your back and neck—and in your whole self!

Open to ALL abilities.

The feet are a map of how we find balance, project ourselves through
our daily lives and find enjoyment in the process. Feet problems abound
for a number of reasons; our ancestors simply didn't walk on flat concrete
surfaces and encase their feet. We'll explore balance and movement through
the lens of Feldenkrais lessons, as well as with the expertise of
reflexologist and nutritional therapist Kandi Burke. Be prepared to have a
fun adventure and walk away with some great tools for better self-use and
self-care.
