In chakra terms, the pelvis is associated with stability, security, and basic survival needs, and can be referred to as ‘the root of existence.’ Sitting for long stretches often inhibits movement. The pelvis is frequently stigmatized as ‘sexually provocative’, and often entire cultures learn to inhibit movement in this region. Low back, neck and sacral pain are often involved when we have inhibited and/or asymmetrical movement. Hips, knees and feet often reflect imbalances that can originate in the pelvis.
Each workshop has unique material that includes a bit of anatomy, physiology, two longer Feldenkrais movement lessons and some shorter material. Take one or both. Increase awareness to movement that supports the pelvis having more ability to move
Add small movement practices that can enhance all other movement practices
